Student Welfare at Colo High School
|
Student Welfare is the concern for the physical,
intellectual, emotional and social well-being of all students. It is a
continuous process that is discernible in every school activity.
Student Welfare is an interactive network between
the formal curriculum (subjects that are taught), the staff, the students, the
parents and the wider community. Throughout their Colo High School years
students learn to accept increasing responsibility for their own welfare, as
well as co-operating with the staff to promote the welfare of others.
The

WHO YOU NEED TO KNOW
CLASSROOM TEACHERS
These people you will see every day. Their main
job is to teach you about their subject but all teachers will be interested in
you as an individual. They are appropriate people to approach about classroom
or homework problems. They will also be able to help you find other useful
people.
THE WELFARE TEAM
This is a group of people within the school whose
main concern is the welfare of individual students in each year. The team is
led by the Head Teacher Welfare whose office is located near the Staff Common
Room on the upper walkway. The Head Teacher Welfare, along with your Year
Adviser can assist you with problems related to the classroom, your friends or maybe
even at home. The Head Teacher Welfare is Mrs Cox.
